A Press ■Association telegram from Wellington says that Bernard Wheeler, wireless operator on board the Norfolk, was yesterday fined £25 for failing to make -known to the Customs officer that he had several wireless sets in his possession. The Inspector of Customs said the offence -was regarded as serious, and was brought by the department for the sake of giving publicity. Defendant made the sets himself, and the depaitmenb stated that it did not ask that the-sets be forfeited.
