MIGRATION CONFERENCE
CUBA’S IMITATION TO LEAGUE Hi CONSIDERABLE INTEREST CAUSED. Press Association—By Telegraph—Copyright. LOUDON, November 24. Considerable interest _ has been caused by Cuba’s invitation to tho League of Nations to be represented in an advisory capacity at the second International Migration Conference at Havana on March 31, 1228, which ostensibly is a part of the general Pan-American Conference. The United States is opposed to large representation at the latter on the ground that the subjects scheduled for discussion are restricted to the American Republics. Cuba points out that the Migration Conference will be international in its widest sense, since the Governments from Europe to Japan will be represented. The United States_ officials, while not contesting Cuba’s right as a member of the League to invito the co-opera-tion of the League officials, consider the move indicates a renewed trend in Latin America towards more intensive co-operation with the League.-—‘ The Times.’
