LYSAGHTS NEWCASTLE WORKS. Press Association—By Telegraph—Copyright. SYDNEY, November 24. (Received November 24, at 11.20 a.m.) Owing to oversea competition and the high cost of production Lysaght’s galvanised iron works at Newcastle are closing next month. It is one of Newcastle’s principal secondary' industries, and following tile drastic curtailment of tho operations of the steel works wall add considerably' to tho industrial depression in the northern district.
