In a fifteen-rounds contest at the Leichhardt Stadium last night, M'Alistcr (8.7]) outpointed Flynn (8.9]). M'Alister forced tho pace throughout, and his superior boxing earned him an easy decision. Flynn improved over the last five rounds, but was unable to make up his leeway.

A SUCCESSFUL APPEAL

CHRISTCHURCH, November 12,
The Racing Conference judges heard the appeals by It. S. Bagby (trainer) and A. 11. Parker (jockey) against their disqualification for alleged corrupt practices in connection with the running of Rowley on November 5, and upheld them, stating: “We are unanimously of the opinion that the proceedings of tho Judicial Committee of the Canterbury Jockey Club were irregular in important particulars.” The judges, continuing, said: “We are of the opinion that any person charged with an offence against the rules of racing must have the opportunity, if he so desires, to be present throughout the whole inquiry into, his conduct. Tho whole of tho evidence tendered to and considered by tho committee holding the inquiry must be given in the presence of the person charged, so that ho may, if he is able, refute or explain that evidence.”
