STUD FOLEY’S FOLLIES
Individual merit is tho keynote of the success of Stud Foley’s Follies, who make their first appearance at the Princess Theatre on Saturday, November 19. Eric Masters, actor-produccr of the company, lias brought with him a number of his own productions, which have proved successful in Australia, and, in addition, he has a cast of good performers to draw upon. Three of them arc already favorites here— William Beresford (baritone), Winnie Egorton (soprano), and Lulu Fanning. Eric Masters has produced and played in many musical comedies, _ and nad a prominent part on .‘Little Nellie Kelly ’ and ‘ The O’Brien Girl.’ Eddie and Dccima M'Lean firing something decidedly novel in their whirlwind interpretations of modern and ancient dancing, and Iris Ackworth is heralded as a dainty versatile performer. Stud Foley has an enviable reputation as a comedian who can make anv audience laugh. He is generously gifted with wit and originality, is a dancer of merit, and has a pleasing voice. .He and “Little Iris” are famous in Australia as a dancing duo. Harry Gould and Eileen M'Guire are both newcomers, who bring a fine reputation for character impersonations, and the charming young Australian ballet provide a number of dancing ensembles.
