LONDON, October 27. (Received October 20, at 11 a.m.) Ma ream .shares jumped to-day from 37s to 38s on rumors Unit someone was Inlying for control, .Eater they reacted "to 37s Gd. The ‘Evening Standard’ suggests that the dividend prospects do not wairant the present prices. It hints that the big cable companies might have, taken seriously the suggestion I brown out some time ago ; that they were using a part of reserves to obtain control of wireless “though.” it adds, “at present wireless is‘not a real danger to the cable companies. ’’
