BIGHT TO JOB CONTROL STRIKE TALK. Press Association--By Teiegraph—Copyright. SYDNEY,_ October 23. A stop-work meeting of the Seamen’s Union is discussing two motions—one by Mr Walsh (tlio general president.) and one by Mr Johnson (general secretary of tlio union). Mr Walsh's motion is that cither registration bo continued in the Federal Arbitration Court, or that there be a general hold-tip of ail coastal and interstate shipping under Australian articles after November J. Mr Johnson’s motion asks that tins present agreement be adhered to, and the seamen remain at work, hut refuse to give any guarantee that they will not exercise their light to job control to the fullest extent. Similar meetings wore held in all capital cities of tho Commonwealth. Although no official intimation liar, been received as to how they resulted, lack of funds will probably prevent tho men from striking. All tho meetings were convened by the Federal Executive of the union.
