Three archbishops, twelve bishops, and 100 prieste took part in King Ferdinand’s funeral sendee, tho family kneeling about the coffin. Twelve generals bore tho coffin to the gun carriage, to which were harnessed six black horses ridden by artillery captains. Meanwhile the guns opened a salute of 101 gnus, and in 400 churches the bells commenced tolling as the procession started in torrid heat and a pitiless sun. Before the coffin two of the oldest generals boro the Royal crown and sceptre. Thirty generals walked beside the gun carriage, and behind paced King Ferdinand’s favorite charger, draped in black. The cortege took two hours to pass a given point. It included members of the Cabinet, high dignitaries of church and State, thousands of troops, and deputations from the provinces arrayed in the national costumes. Hundreds of thousands of people lined the six-mile route from tho palace to the railway station. The pavements, windows, and trees were thronged. Tho larger buildings were hung with crepe, and clouds of incense rose at every street corner and church. There were many military bands along the route, and they played tho National Anthem. Tho generals carried the coffin to a special train, in which the Royal party travelled to the place of interment at Curtca cle Argcs (one of the ancient capitals of Waliachia). PRINCE CAROL. < PARTS, July 24. (Received July 25, at 11 a.m.) Prince Carol attended service at tho Rumanian Church. He was dressed in black, and wore all his decorations. Many youthful Rumanians cried “Long live the King!” when he emerged.
