AFTER 900 YEARS
CONQUEROR R EMEMBERED. LONDON. July 3. Tho commemoration of the 900th anniversary of the birth of William the Conqueror, reports the Paris correspondent of ‘Tho Times,’ was attended by' several Englishmen, including Lnul Scarsdale, who claim descent from the Normans who accompanied tho conqueror to England. The day was celebrated first by a, luncheon at Caen, Normandy, at which ancient Norman customs were revived. A procession of twenty motor cars later, visited spots with which William was associated.
