GDLLEGTIVE INCOME FOR YEAR DECREASE OF 5 PER CENT. Press Association—By Telegraph—Copyright. WASHINGTON, July 20. (Received July 21, at 10.45 a.m.) The Department of Agriculture announces that the gross income of farmers from crops during the year ended Juno 30 was 12,080,000,000d01 s which i; a decrease of 5 per cent, on the previous year. The decrease is attributed to lower cotton prices, smaller returns on feed, grains, apples, and potatoes. The net income of the farmers is estimated at 2,440,000,000d0l after deducting expenses, compared with 3,082,000,000 in 192(3. The production, expenses increased only 2 per ■ cent., while the not income decreased about 20 per cent. Of the gross income 9.549,00'),000c10l is computed as cash from sales and 2,531.000j000d0l as the value of food and fuel consumed on farms.
