(Received July 21. at 11 a.m.) Sir Austen Chamberlain was asked in Parliament whether any negotiations were proceeding with the Egyptian Government regarding the four reserved points. He replied that lie had naturally taken advantage of the presence in this country of Sarwat Pasha, the Egyptian Prime Minister, to discuss Anglo-Kgyptian relations with him, but it was neither Sanvat’s intention nor his own to conclude any new agreement during the visit.
