(Received June 21, at 10 a.m.) Charlie Purdy (New Zealand, 9st 81b). fought a draw with Tommy Fairhall (9st 81b) last night in a fifteen rounds contest. The bout opened tamely, but livened in the sixth round. ’ Fairhall then had a slight advantage, but Purdy forced the fighting in the remaining rounds, and made good use of both hands. Ho appeared to be the winner at the opening of the last round, but Fairhall rallied, and made a draw of it. The majority, however, ► favored Purdy. LAWN TENNIS. WIMBLEDON TOURNEY. The most interesting one was between Duncan and Seifert and Burke and Murray, two leading local players. The : latter wan, two up. The play, on both sides was keen , and brilliant. LADIES* HOCKEY.
