DOING JOBS PIECEMEAL
Advice was received at the meeting of the Education Board this morning that the Education Department had authorised the board to call for tenders for the erection of four additional classrooms for the infant department at tha Caversham School, winch was built lasb rear. , ' “ The news is very .satisfactory, bun at the same time it is a wicked waste of monev.” commented the chairman (Mr J. Wallace). Ho added that tha classrooms should have been built on when the school was being erected lash year. Hundreds of pounds wore absolutely wasted in this way. Mr Smith; “ The same thing happened at St. Clair School.” Other members expressed disapproval of jobs being done in a piecemeal way-
