CURTAILMENT 8f MATCHES DISAPPOINTMENT IN SOOTH AFRICA Press Association—By Telegraph —Copyright. CAPETOWN, June 14. (Received June 15, at 10 a.m.) The suggested curtailment of the New Zealand Rugby team’s tour to twenty-one matches and three tests has caused widespread disappointment throughout South Africa, particularly in the small centres, all of which arc eager to join in a national welcome to the All Blacks. It is understood that the South African' Board is most anxious to meet the views of the visitors, but feels that the local conditions make the departure of the New Zealanders on June 16 too late, bringing the tour into the hot weather. It feels that Now Zealand would pay a groat compliment if it trusted the South African Board regarding the arrangements of the visit, which is regarded more from an imperial aspect that actual results.
