KAIKORAI BAND CONCERT

TO-MORROW HiCHT ■ The second of the'series of Sunday evening concerts by the Kaikorai Band will be given to-morrow at His Majesty’s Theatre. As; may bo seen by reference to the advertisement, a very high-class programme will be submitted, the principal item in which is tho highly descriptive fantasia, ‘The Smithy in the Woods,’ in which are depicted tho cal of the cuckoo, the • warbling of the lark, the lowing of the cow, the’ running brook, the village, chimes, followed by the morning prayer, and tho smith at work. Other items by the band are ‘Hungarian Dances,’ Nos. 5, and 6; hymn, ‘Fierce Raged the Tempest,’; overture, ‘ Light Cavalry ’; and the march, ‘ Solaatebbit.’ Vocal items will be contributed by Miss F. Sumner and Messrs M'Donald and Harrison, while Mr Howie will render a violin solo. A silver coin collection will bo taken up.
