SOUTH AUSTRALIAN ELECTIONS LABOR DEFEATED. Pres* Association—By Telegraph—Copyright ADELAIDE, March 28. The latest election returns are as follows: —Liberals, 22; Country Party, 5; Labor, 17; Independent, 2. Mr R. L. Butler (Leader of the present Liberal Opposition) will be the new Premier. THE LIQUOR POLL. ADELAIDE, March 29. (Received March 29, at 10.40 a.m.) In the Local Option polls the votes for continuance of the present number of licenses predominate iu every district. The position in some electorates in the General Election is very close, but the Government is definitely defeated. It is probable that the Pact parties will gain additional seats.
