Referees’ Appointment Board. — Messrs W. Brown and D. M. Spedding. Mr E. S. Wilson was reappointed secretary. The secretary was instructed to advertise for .gatemen for the various grounds for the season. The question of ground members’ tickets was referred to the Finance Committee for a report to the next meeting. The Secretary reported that Mr ; More, of the Boy Scout organisation, had advised that it had been arranged for Boy Scouts to act as ball boys during the coming season. The secretary was instructed to write to the St. John Ambulance Association asking if its members would again attend at the various grounds, and requesting the association to attend to the reconditioning of tho ambulance kits on the grounds. 'She Secretary reported that on several of the union's banners there was no room for more names, the matter being referred to tho Finance Committee for

a report. It was decided that at the next meeting of tho committee delegates would bo appointed to attend tho annual meeting of the New Zealand Rugby Union to be held in Wellington on May 5. It was decided that club honorary members’ tickets would admit the hearer to tho ground on which his chib was playing,' this to apply during' the first round of club matches. University-Club'-was granted permismission to hold a practice on Tahuna Park on Wednesday next, subject to the ground being available from tho A. and P. Society. Permission was granted to the Pirates Chib senior team to travel to Christchurch at Easter time to play a match with tho Christchurch Club. Mr C. MThce being the manager of the team. The Alexandra Club wrote enclosing tho application of G. Frye for reinstatement as a Rugby Union player. It was resolved to forward theapplication to the New' Zealand Union, but to make no recommendation. Tho City Council wrote inviting applications for grounds for tho coming season, and stating tjiat the council wished to deal with the controlling body, not clubs. The Secretary reported that he had’applied for the number of grounds used by the union in the past, his action being approved. Thirteen applications for transfers from various clubs to others were submitted by tho secretary, and were held over for consideration at the next meeting. The Dunedin Football Club applied for the use of Tahuna Park on April 2.—Application granted. The North Otago Sub-union wrote enclosing its form of application to the New Zealand Union to ho admitted as a separate union. On the motion of Mr Allan it was decided that the O.R.F.U. would offer no objection to the application. Grounds wore allotted to clubs as follows for tho corning, season :—Zingari, Montecillo; Southern, Bathgate Park; Pirates, Carisbrook; Alhambra, Opoho; Union, North Ground.
