WEST HARBOR CLUB
Tbo West Harbor bowlers spent a very enjovablo afternoon on Saturday, when, with a good green and ideal weather, a handicap ‘singles competition was held The prize (a wrist watch) was donated by -Mr W Barclay, who also provided the afternoon tea. Mr Barclay, who was unable to bo present, was represented by Mr and Mrs G. Barclay, w»i dispensed tbo refreshments. Thi' play, which was on, the one-life system, with a time limit of 40min, provided some good games and some surprises. The two left in the final were Mr J. MThcrson and Mr W. Gale. This game (sixteen heads), in which Gale led to the fifteenth, was won by 1 MTbeison by the narrow, margin of 1 point The West Harbor bowlers highly appreciate Mr Barclay’s sporting spirit. West Harbor also concluded their club ties. The winner of the champion singles was J. Vcitcb. with A. I'ortman second. The handicap singles resulted: A. French ], W. Connor 2. Doubles: C. Hutton and IC. Mnllcagcr ], A. Campbell and J M. Hutton _.
