“ MISS OTAGO " NAKED HOST OF ADMIRERS [Special to the ' Stab.’] AUCKLAND, November 17., In the theatre voting to decide “ Miss Auckland” and her maid of honor in the New Zealand beauty contest the order of the Auckland finalists is>—• Miss Sutherland. Miss Ford. Miss Strange. Miss Grahame. In view, of Saturday’s climax, when the dominion queen will be chosen, local interest is rapidly approaching fever heat. Aucklanders are far, from parochial in the matter, and Miss Otago, is freely mentioned as the probable winner;'while Miss Osten, too, has many admirers. The Dunedin girls are entering with zest into the unbounded hospitality accorded everywhere to the southern six, and were members of the party that visited the hospital on Monday and the Zoo yesterday. , At the former several patients inquired for Miss M‘Millan and Miss Osten by name. Unspoiled by the general admiration, they give one ,the impression that they are imbued with a quiet determination to leave no stone unturned on their part to carry the New Zealand honois to Dunedin.
