HOHTHLY MEETING _ The monthly meeting of the Education Board was resumed to-day, Mr J. Wallace presiding. RESIGNATIONS. The following resignations were accepted :—Herbert M. Stevens, head master, Owaka District High School; James Fleming, head master, Otepopo; David M. Percy, head master, Papakaio; Jessie M. J. Pope, sole teacher, Broad Bay; Meri H. Anderson, assistant, Tuapeka Alouth; Bertha M. Swinard, fourth assistant, Oamaru South; Alfred W. G. Lipscomb, agriculture instructor. APPOINTMENTS. The following appointments wex-e made:—Herbert M. Stevens, head master, Tapanui District High School; Agnes T. M’Naughton, sole teacher, Mount Stuart; Ethel Shaw, sixtlrassistant, George Street; Mary F. Hepburn, assistant (infant), Five Forks; Effie M. M’Kinnon, assistant, Lowburn ; Laura M. Duff, assistant, Otokou; George Chapman-Cohen, second assistant, Owaka District High School. ACCOUNTS. Accounts amounting to £21,653 18s 9d were passed for payment. , IMPROVEMENTS SOUGHT. The Architect recommended that the Maori Hill Committee’s application for improvements to the infant room be sanctioned for next year’s allocations. —Approved.
