[Special to ‘ Star.’] CHRTSTCHUuuJti, November 15. “ Irvington Lodge,” situated at Yaldhurst, containing over 115 acres, together with all buildings and improvements, has been sold by Mr Ben Jarden to Mr Robert Grant, of Belfast, who, with Mr M. B. Edwards, will occupy the property. It was formerly used as a training establishment by the late Mr G. G. Stead and Mr R. J. Mason, and will continue to he used for that purpose. The price was in the vicinity of £IO,OOO. PIGEON FLYING. NORTH DUNEDIN CLUB. The North Dunedin Homing Pigeon Club flew a two-bird flock race from Timaru, an air-lino distance of 107 miles. The birds had a hard fly against a southerly wind and rain. The winning bird, ‘W. aaid J. Trewern’s Lady Lillian, completed the distance in 3h 35min, making a velocity of 880yds per minute.
