G OVEBNMENT EMPLOYEE CHARGED. [Feb United Press Association.] AUCKLAND, October 21. In the Police Court to-day Ronald M‘Donald was charged that, while a clerk in the General Post Office, he did steal a postal note for 6s, and that lie committed other similar offences. A complaint had been made that malicious letters to Hobart (Tasmania) had not reached their destination, and a test letter was prepared. Detective Kalder interviewed the accused, who admitted that lie had opened about ten letters addressed to Hobart containing in all about £8 in postal notes, winch he had cashed. Accused pleaded guilty, and was committed for sentence.
