WAIKATO RIVER
THE FLOOD AT MERCER WATER IN THE HOUSES. ' [P’er United Press Association.] AUCKLAND, October 15. The flood at Mercer is expected to reach the peak point to-day. There is complete inundation of the road past the timber mill. Many residences in this locality have been vacated, and in town levels water is flowing freely through the houses. Shunting on the railway has been abandoned. No loss of stock J 3 reported.
