WHEAT, OATS, ETC. LONDON, September 9. Wheat cargoes; Prices are steady in view of chartering from America and Argentina, but the demand is still quiet. Parcels are in fair demand at an advance of 3d owing to the increased freights. Liverpool futures: October 10s 7id, December 10s 5Jd, March 10s 4-}d, May 10s 3id per bushel. The spot trade is slow, and prices are tending easier. Australian (ox store), 60s to 625.

Oats: Slow. A grade Cartons, 325. Reas: Blues are quiet; Tasmanian, 340 s to 380 s; New Zealand, to 3GOs. Maples are firm; Tasmanian, 100 s to 105 s; New Zealand, 95s to 100 s. New Zealand beans, 45s to 475, butterTand CHEESE. LONDON, September 9. Butter is very dull, and quotations for colonial are more or less nominal. New Zealand choicest salted, 154 s to 1565; exceptionally choice, 1625; Australian, 152 sto 1545. Danish is firmer owing to Germany buying, and is quoted at 178 s. Cheese is flat. New Zealand, 80s to 82s. WOOL AND SHEEPSKINS. LONDON, September 9. On the Bradford tops market merinos were a shade easier, and business was limited awaiting the London opening. Cross-breds were well maintained. Sixty-fours, 49d; sixties, 44Jd; fiftysixes, 33d; fifties, 26d; forty-sixes, 22£d; forties, 21d._ At the sheepskin sales 5,922 were offered, of which 60 per cent, was sold. Full-woolled wore firm at the July rates; half-woolled, par to 5 per cent, down; pelts, 5 per cent, down; Australian lambs, 5 per cent. up.
