MOTORISTS’ MANNERS.

TO THE EDITOR. Sir,—l wish to protest against the callous indifference of many motorists to the safety of pedestrians. Last evening a motorist drove south along Crawford street, through the crowd coming out of His Majesty's Theatre, at from fifteen to twenty miles an hour. It will add to this road hog’s satisfaction to learn that ho bumped and damaged a valuable ’cello. No doubt to such a man this knowledge will afford a considerable amount of pleasure which it wore a pity to deny him. Unfortunately his number was badly lighted and illegible; otherwise 1 would have written him my congratulations on his kindly consideration for others.—l am, etc., Pedestrian. September 9.
