THREAT OF ARREST [Per United Press Association.] AUCKLAND, September 10. George Murphy, a fisherman, was fined £l2 10s and costs for using a seine net in a prohibited area in the Hauraki Gulf. During the hearing Mr Selwyn Maya, counsel for defendant, objected to the prosecutor for the -Marins'Department leading the evidence given by the inspector. Mr Hunt, S.M., said the prosecutor tVas conducting his case in a proper manner, and on Mr Mays pressing the point the magistrate threatened to place him under arrest, also to fine Slim.
The incident, however, wont no further.
