[From Oun Coiuiesponuent.] TATERI PIPE BAND. An excellent concert was given by tho Taicri Pipe Band. Despite tho had weather, a bumper house greeted the performers. The programme was as follows ;_The Burris Choir; song, ‘Hail, Caledonia,’ Mr Arthur Lungley; song, ‘Thou Bonnie Wood o’ Craigieloa,’ Miss Nancy Johnston; Highland reel, Misses Doreen Sullivan, Rona Beale, Olive Scott, and Lorna Budge; song, ‘ Auld Robin Gray,’ Miss Elsiroth Denholm; song, ‘Boss o’ the Hoosc,’ Mr Jim Paterson;, recitation, ‘ Coming By Degrees,’ Miss E. Hamilton; song, ‘Flora Macdonald’s Lament,’ Mr Les Dailey: violin solo, Miss M'Kenzie: song, ‘The Bonnie Banks o’ Loch Lomond,’ Mr Alfred Wall®ley; Exhibition contest selection, Mosgiel Brass Band; song, ‘ The Auld Hoosc,’ Mr Alfred Wabnslcy; song, ‘Heilan’ Jargy,’ Mr Jim Paterson; song, ‘ Alas, Those Chimes,’ Miss Nancy Johnson; violin solo, Miss M'Kenzie; recitation, ‘The Lasses Noo-a-days,’ Miss E. EXPANSION LEAGUE.

Mr E. Swailcs presided at tlio monthly meeting of the Taieri branch of the Otago Expansion League. Satisfaction was expressed at the alteration of the time of the Outrum train, which would suit all parties. _ A motion, that a letter of congratulation be forwarded to Mr T. K. Sidey, M.P., on tlio success of bis Daylight Bavin" Bill was carried after a good deal of discussion, some members dissenting. At the conclusion of the business a debate, I’hat Anticipation is Bettor than Realisation ’ was conducted by the president and Mr F. Frew. A hearty vote of thanks was accorded.both speakers. EUCHRE PARTY. On Wednesday evening the workers of the English stall at the forthcoming band bazaar held a euchre parly to augment their efforts. A very pleasant evening was spent. As the time is drawing near all committees are now working hard, and present indications suggest a. successful bazaar.
