GERMANY'S HEART-BURHiHGS “THE RIGHT TO LIVE.” LONDON, August 2. “The refusal to allow Germany to possess colonies amounts to a denial of Germany’s right to live,” said Dr Seitz, Germany’s ox-Colonial Governor,’ in a speech at a meeting in Hamburg to inaugurate a colonial propaganda week. Dr Seitz said that every great nation strove to build up structures providing room for . her inhabitants and raw materials for her industries. Only Germany, possessing 60,000,000 inhabitants, was compressed into her narrow European limits and denied the right of expansion. The aim of the conference is to impress foreign nations with the fact that Germany is firmly resolved to realise her colonial ideals.
The Burgomaster, Dr Petersen, declared that it the natives werc_ asked whether they wished to have their German masters back there would only be one possible answer.
