GUIDING OF AEROPLANES USE OF UNSEEN RAYS

LONDON, August 1

A wonder Hying station, costing £250,000, will shortly bo erected at Croydon. It will include a huge tower, with a glass-window chamber, in which the operators will work and live. The station will not (lash rays of light, but will project continuous and very powerful electrical beams, which every aeroplane will constantly receive, enabling pilots to steer just as accurately to Croydon as if the unseen ray were visible.

Encircjing the new alighting ground for three miles there will be an amazing equipment, which will ensure safe descents in the worst mists and fogs. It consists primarily of a specially-de-signed electrical cable, operating automatically a series of colored lights in the cockpits of aeroplanes.
