ON TABLE MOUNTAIN
DEATH FROM EXPOSURE. AUSTRALIAN GIRL’S FATE. CAPE TOWN, August 6. Table Mountain's heavy toll of life was added to on Monday’s hank holiday. The victim was Mary Catherine Perry, a school teacher, ■who was born at Muswellbrook, New South Wales. “With a girl companion, Miss Perry started off early on Monday. She was reported missing yesterday, and during the night her companion arrived at a ranger’s cottage. Her clothes were torn, and she collapsed upon arrival. She said that Miss Perry had fallen off a. ledge, but .she was unable to give details. Despite the boisterous night, a rescue party worked unavailing]}-. This morning the Mountain Club turned out and found Miss Perry’s body on a ledge at a height of 2,000 ft. Death had been due to exposure.
