ST. MARY’S CHURCH
CONGEST FOB FUNDS Last night tho St. Mary’s Schoolroom was packed by an enthusiastic audience, when a very enjoyable concert was given, tiro proceeds of which are to be used in connection with tho forthcoming sale of work. The first part of tho programme was contributed by the children of the Holy Cross Church, who rendered tho cantata, ‘ The White Garment,’ in a manner which left nothing to bo desired. The applause that was accorded to this item was a tribute to Mr Dickie, who was in charge of the children. The second part of the programme was coinnosed of items by Mr Craigio (song), Miss Williamson (song), Miss Holland (sketch), Mrs Kennedy (song), Miss Grecnall (recitation), and Mr Haigh (song). The accompaniments were played by Miss Craigie. At the conclusion or the concert tho ladies provided supper for tho performers.
