EDUCATION BOARD
NOMINATIONS FOB MEMBERSHIP The nominations of persons for election as members of the Otago Education Board closed last evening. The elections take place on July 21, members of school committees in each district being entitled to vote. In the North Ward the only person nominated was Mr James Mitchell, the sitting member, who was declared elected. The only person nominated in Central Ward was Mr James Smith, the sitting member, and he was declared elected. Three persons—Messrs Percy IbbotSanderson, and James H. Wilkinson—were nominated for the urban area, the last two being the sitting members. As only two members are required for tliis area an election will be necessary.
In the South Ward the sitting member (Mr George W. K. Wood) and Air Peter M'Kinlay were nominated. As only one member is required an election will be hold.
