CRIMINAL SITTINGS
NAPIER Tn the Supreme Court Henry Woon, for sheep and wool stealing at Hastings, was sentenced to eighteen months with luird labor on each of six charges, the sentences to be concurrent. John Harrold Morris, rape, received four years’ imprisonment; Sydney Joyce Hall, forging and uttering, three years’ reformative detention.—Press Association. GISBORNE The Supreme Court, the Chief Justice presiding, opened tliis morning. The calendar was unusually light, there lining only two cases, both against Maoris, true bills were returned in each case. William Henry Waake pleaded guiltv to indecent assault and was remanded for sentence. —P.ress Association.
