The second annual meeting of this club was held in the Victoria Hall, a large number of members being presciii. In moving the adoption of the balance-sheet, which showed, Resides other assets, a cash balance of £3l Gs, the retiring president (Mr Richards) congratulated members upon the healthy financial position and the rapid growth of the club, mentioning also that during the year four handsome cups had been donated by the dub to various societies for the purpose of further increasing interest in dancing competitions. The election of officers resulted a* follows:—President, Mr R. Hanson; vice-presidents—Messrs Robinson, Gemmell, and Richards; secretary and treasurer, Mr C. Fraser; assistant secretary, Mr C. Johnston: committee— Messrs Shaw, Martim, Childs, Smith, Turner, Irvine, Robinson, Lockhart, Jones, Chisholm,. McCarthy, Alexander. Brocket!, W. Stewart, A. Stewart, ana Ruff. A recommendation from the retiring executive that all financial members of the past year remain financial for the ensuing year, new members to bo chaf-gcd an initiation fee, was carried. On the completion of the business a social evening was held, ballroom dancing, varied with musical items and national dancing, providing entertainment for all. During the evening Messrs Fraser and Chisholm were the recipients of presents in appreciation of the services rendered by them during the past year. Mr Geo. Ross provided the bagpipe music, Messrs Chisholm and Clarke the dance music, and Messrs M'Carthy, Childs, and Hanson officiated as M.C.S.
