(Received Juno 13, at 1 a.m.) The ‘Daily News’ says: “Prominent Germans are apprehensively awaiting the publication of the ex-Kaiser’s memoirs’, which, it is feared, will result in a political crisis. It transpires that there was almost an open breach between the ox-Kaiser and Crown Prince in 1923 owing to tho Monarchists demanding that the ex-Kaiser should abdicate in favor of ‘ Little Willie ’ in the event of the overthrow of the Republicans. The ex-Kaisor thereupon secretly intrigued in Germany, with the assistance of Lmlcndorff, thus splitting tho Monarchists. Ho also refused to allow the ex-Crown Prince and tho Monarchists to read his memoirs prior to their publication, causing fear that the memoirs would include revelations of post-war events which the ex-Kaiser previously had promised not to publish.

“ Tho Monarchists thereupon burgled the printers’ premises and stole rough proofs, which confirmed their suspicions. The memoirs contained three suppressed chapters. The first was entitled ‘Shall I Reign Again?” and detailed the Monarchists’ activities. Tho second declared that Hiudcnburg had accepted tho Presidentship with tho idea of assisting tho ex-Kaiser to regain the throne. Tho third was entitled ‘ My Son’s Perfidy,’ and consisted of an astounding outburst against the Crown Prince. “It is believed that the memoirs accuse prominent Republicans of supporting tho Monarchists in an effort to persuade the ex-Kaiser to withdraw. If he refuses, it is believed that the Government will suppress tho memoirs.— Sydney ‘ Sim ’ Cable.
