The Otago Provincial Fruitgrowers’ Council, Ltd., has received the following week-end cable from tho High Commissioner, London, in regard to tho fruit market Market is fairly active. Athenicand Tairoa shipments clearing well. Rotorua unloading, and reported in good condition so far. Argyllshire and Mamari also commenced discharging. Current prices .are: Cox’s Orange, 14s to 20s per case; Cleopatra, Lis to 15s per ease; Stunner, 13s to 14s per case; Dunn’s Favorite and Jonathan, lls to 13s per case; Delicious, lls 6d to 12s per case; Rome Beauty, Wolseley, and Statesman, lls 6d to 12s 6d per case; Ribston Pippin, 9s to lls per case; Macintosh, 7s to ils per case. Majority pears ex Athcnic in fair condition, but Beurre Bose, same Winter Cole, very bad. Beurre Bose, 2s to 3s; Winter Cole, 2s to 7s; P. Barry pears 5s to 8s; Winter Nelis, 7s to 10s per tray.
