PROFESSIONAL CONTESTS The Otago Boxing Association _ is eclipsing nil previous records in having arranged for two fifteen-round professional boxing contests to bo staged on Thursday next at His Majesty’s Theatre. The starring of two big contests on one night has never been done in New Zealand before. Eugene Volairo is matched to meet Reg. Trowern, one of „.the greatest light-weights in New Zealand to-day, and a contender for the light-weight title. The contest is for a purse of £15l). The other contest is between Tommy Griffiths, the feather champion, and Bobby Lewis, the _ hardpitting ex-feather-weight champion of Australia. The box plan for reservations will be opened at The Bristol on Tuesday morning.
