OTTAWA, January 7. r i'lie speech from the throne when the fifteenth Federal Parliament is formally opened on Friday is expected to outline the Government’s proposals for reducing taxation, and for rural credit and immigration schemes. The speech will be read by the Governor-General, Lord Byng. A brief session was held to-day, when Mr Rudolph Lemieux, the Speaker in the last Parliament, was' re-elected.— Reuter.
