Ho has abolished the Ministries of National Economy and Public Assistance, and is imposing a tax of ,C2 on foreigners entering Greece. STATEMENT BY GENERAL PANG A LOS. CONSOLIDATING THE REPUBLIC. LONDON, January 7. (Received January 8, at 9.15 a.m.) General Pangaios, in a message to the ‘Daily Mail,’ says; “Serious national questions and tho necessity of effectively striking at tho subversive Communist propaganda which has been proceeding for two months and threatening the Skate and society, have forced the Government to assume complete liberty' of action. Freed from internal reaction and restrictive lormalitics, I intend to carry out my original programme of consolidating the Republic and securing normal parliamentary life by free elections. Tho foreign policy remains unchanged, and Greece continues to bo a member of the League of Nations. Tho Government does not consider tho support ol the army sufficient.
