A message from Toronto announces that "Mr Vincent Massey, who recently entered the Canadian Cabinet, has resigned the presidency of the MasseyHarris Implement Company and from the boards of the Rank of Commerce and the Mutual Life Assurance. In a statement he says he believes, even at personal sacrifice, he should resign the directorates of corporations to leave himself free to deal with public issues without his actions or motives being subject to question.—A. and N.Z.
