D.J.C. RACES AT WINGATUI. The Dunedin Spring Meeting is to ho held on Thursday and Saturday of this week. First race each day at 12 o’clock. This will enable southern visitors to see seven races and then catch their train at Wingatui. Some ’of the northern horses' have arrived. The acceptances aro the host for many years. Nino remain in the M'Lean Stakes, the two-year-old classic of the first day. and there aro thirteen in the Mospiel Handicap, including nine Now' Zealand Cup acceptors. The course is pretty sure to be heavy, but it may dry a pood deal between now and Thursday, and at worst it cannot bo heavier than other courses at recent meetings in other parts of New Zealand.

Ho will bo put up on Windshield in the Trial Stakes the first day. This may moan a few pounds but this will have its compensation in that M'Carton’s strength and ability should counteract the Tractor filly’s habit of running out at the turns.
