GAELIC SOCIETY
The Gaelic Society held its monthly meeting in the Oddfellows’ Hall, Stuart street, last evening, Chieftain «. D. M'Lcod being in the chair. Lluel Colin M'Kenzie and Mr W. M'Bwnn were also on tho platform, the latter giving a short discourse on tho old customs of Hallowe’en. Bard A. C. Robertson opened tna programme with a Gaelic song, Crnaclian Beann,’ and as an encore Madi Duann.’ Mr King sang There s a Wee Bit Land’ and “Country, hoik, and Mrs Frood sang ‘0 Sing To Me the Anld Scotch Songs ’ and ‘ Annie Laurie.’ Miss Silvia Marshall danced a seann triubhais and a fling. Piper G. Yardley rendered a number of marches on the pipes. Misses Davis and King wore the accompanists, and Riper G. Munro played the national music. A dance was held at the conclusion of tha musical programme.
