. , QUEENSLAND WIRELESS MESSAGE NOT ANTI-BRITISH PROPAGANDA. Press Association— By Telegraph — CopyrightAustralian and N.Z. Press Association. MELBOURNE, August 21. (Received August 21, at 12.45 p.m.) With reference to the Queensland radio service broadcasted message attacking the British _ Government, the manager of the service explained that the message was broadcasted by an oversight. An official explanation will be broadcasted to-day, stating that the message was supplied by the newspaper ‘ Daily Standard,’ and was received by it from a correspondent in China. The message dealt with China's internal troubles, and gave the correspondent’s views of Britain’s attitude towards them. The manager further explained that the message arrived late during the noon transmitting session, and in order to prevent listeners-in being kept waiting the message was handled hastily, thereby escaping the usual rigid censorship. The manager emphatically denies that the station is being used for broadcasting anti-British propaganda, to which tlio.se responsible for the broadcasting do not .subscribe.
