EMPIRE Nazimova and Miltrm Sills have tins leading parts in ' Madonna of th* Streets,’ which will have final screening at the Empire Theatre to-night, This picture tells a story of London life. ‘THREE WISE FOOLS.’ The picture to be initially screened to-morrow will be ‘ Three Wise Fools.* The story centres round the lives of three old bachelors—Judge Turnbull, Jmdlay (the financier), and Dr Gaunt, who are all as fussy as old maids, still dreaming of the girl they might hava married. Chance brings to their homa Sydney Fairchild, the daughter of this self-same girl. Like a breath of springtime, the girl works her way into tha hearts and affections of the three old men. About this time a gaol-break: ia staged at the State prison. Hundreds of convicts escape. One of these ia Benny the Duck, a forger, who has sworn vengeance .on Judge Turnbull. Another is John Crawshay, Sydney’s father, who was wrongfully imprisoned for embezzlement. Sydney _ learns her father’s whereabouts, and in bringing him food and money runs into Benny the Duck. The latter loses no time ia breaking into the Riverside Drive home to “got” Judge Turnbull. Sydney intercepts him, saves the judge’s life, and then, fearing her father may become involved, helps Benny to escape. But the detectives are too sharp for Sydney. Circumstantial evidence incriminates her, and she goes to her father, leaving three broken-hearted old men behind her. The boy, Gordon, alone refuses to believe her guilty. Sydney is trailed to the spot where her father and Benny are in hiding. With the capture of the three Benny tha Duck realises his game is up, and in confession absolves Sydney’s rather of the charge against him. The Empire Orchestra will render a pleasing musical programme } and tha entr’acte will be ‘Bohemian Girl * (Balfe).

OCTAGON The final screening of 1 Miss Blu®« board ’ will take place at the Octagon Theatre to-night. The story tells how Larry Charters allows his name to be used by a friend named JBob Hawley when the latter is on a journey from Paris to London. ' Bob meets Colette Gerard, an actress, and through a misunderstanding marries her, using the name of Larry Charters. .Larry ia rather more than surprised at hearing of his own marriage, but he afterwards falls in love with his wife and happiness* for all parties is the result, A Metro-Goldwyu picture will be the attraction to-morrow. Its title is ‘Name the, Man.’, This picture waa adapted from the famous novel ‘ The Master of Man,’ by the British author-, Hall Caine. This has been declared one of the most remarkable dramatic and emotional pictures ever produced. The cast is an exceptionally strong one, and includes Mae Busch, Conrad Nagel, Hobart Bosworth, and Creighton Hale. The story has for its location the Isla of Wight, with its quaint villages, its century-old castles, its stern, rugged, yet beautiful 1 scenery. • " The music will be provided by tha Octagon Concert Orchestra. QUEEN'S . ‘Galloping Gallagher ’ and 'Cham* pion of Lost Causes ’ will have final showing at the Queen’s Theatre tonight. ' The former picture features Fred Thomson, and is a typical Western drama. ‘This Freedom,’ the companion picture to ‘lf Winter Comes, will have pride of place on the new programme to-morrow. The story was written by A. S. M, Hutchinson. EVEfIVB&DY'S \ ‘ Fifth Avenue Models ’ will ,bo shown ' for the last time at Everybody’s Theatre to-night. This picture was adapted from ‘The Best in Life,’ by Muriel Hine, and tells in a dramatic, romantio way the love story between two per--, sons as far removed by environments as the two Poles. The second picture is ‘Scarred Hands.’ PLAZA km GRAND ‘ Women Who Give’ and ‘The Heart Bandit ’ will lie finally shown at the Plaza and Grand Theatres to-night. The former picture tells a story of tha sea, while the latter is an amusing story of a flapper who broke hearts and safes.
