It is now learned that the American banker Mr Otto Kahn has acquired most of the property. He investigated tho whole subject when in London recently. . Tho deal involves several millions sterling. The Berlin correspondent of tho 1 Morning Post ’states that Mannesmann Brothers formed tea companies to colonise and develop tho Moroccan mines and to engage in sheep and wheat farming. They began operations in 1913. The war caused a stoppage, after which the properties in French Morocco were confiscated. Maunesmauns retained the Spanish properties, hub the Moroccan War prevented a renewal of the enterprise. In the moantime the German company, requiring all tho liquid capital available in order to finance its home undertakings, decided to sell out. l! was also feared that the war agreement hi t ween the Frimco-Spauisli Governments might result in complications and further confiscation ot tho concessions which stretch right across the Riff country.
