MARRIED AT SIXTEEN

FATHER OF SIX CHILDREN. Married at the age of sixteen, William Waring, now aged twenty-four, and an unemployed motor mechanic, gave evidence recently at the inquest at Lewisham, England, on the youngest of his family of six, a girl eleven months old. The family, according to a relieving officer, had been under the Poor Law since May, 1919, and, apart from medical orders, had been paid over £llß in relief. The father was drawing 25s labor benefit and 10s from the Guardians. Tho home conditions were almost indescribable.
