SKILLED LABOR.
TO THE EDITOR. Sir,—A. paragraph in last nights ( Star ’ would lead one to believe that the demand for skilled labor was slacking off. My experience, and that of many others in the building trade, is that the demand is a.s keen ns ever, and that the normal requirements of the district are being held up on account of the shortage of skilled labor. I have no hesitation in saying that a serious shortage of skilled artisans prevails at the present time, and that thoroughly skilled, willing tradesmen would, as concerns the building trade, he snapped up at once. —I. am, etc., Builder.
