rPfPARATIDHS FOR ENGLISH CONDITIONS VISIT TO NEW ZEALAND STKONELY SiniPORTKD. Press Association—By Telegraph—Copyright. Australian and N.Z. Press Association. SYDNEY, August 14. (Received August 14, at 10.4 A a.m.) The agitation for sending the next 'Australian cricket team to tour England via New Zealand is receiving strong support in New South Wales, Victoria, and South Australia. Bayers who luivo previously visited England state that several matches played in New Zealand would materially assist in acclimatising the Australian side before it reached England, conditions and wickets in New Zealand being similar to those in England. To members making their first trip oversea such experience would be invaluable. The matter rests with the Board of Control, As New Zealand has offered a guarantee for a certain number of matches-in New Zealand, there can be no financial loss. The ‘ Daily, Telegraph ’ urges that this opportunity for letting the Australian players accustom themselves to the now conditions by a few preliminary matches in New Zealand .should not ec missed.
