FRANCE’S OBLIGATIONS. PAYMENT TO BRITAIN. Ptces Association—By Telegraph—Copyright. LONDON, August 12. The ‘ Daily Express ’ understands that the French debt discussions progressed most favorably. It is believed there will be an early settlement.—A. and N.Z. Cable. R EAT ARK ABLE ATTITUDE. LONDON, August 2. When they abandoned ground we stopped the gaps with the bodies of our cavaliers.
