SUEIDA HOLDING OUT RELIEF FORCE BEING SENT. Pres* Association—By Telegraph—Copyright. PARIS, August 12. M. Painlevo announced that despatches from Marshal Sarrail showed that the French losses in Syria in killed, wounded, prisoners, and .missing numbered 800. He added that Sneida, was surrounded, but the garrison had food and munitions for forty-nine days. A relief force was being sent. Calm prevailed.—A. and N.Z. Cable.
